Unit 1 - Legislative
Framework
Legislative Framework covers the OHS obligations, Workcover, codes of
practice and Australian standards associated with testing electrical equipment.
An introduction to risk assessment and limitation of this course.
Unit 2- Basic Electrical
Principles
Basic electrical principles gives you an introduction to AC and DC electricity,
electrical units, electrical circuits, single and three phase, electrical
safety, electric shock and circuit protection.
Unit 3 - Inspection and testing
to AS/NZS 3760
Inspection and testing looks at the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 and
its implementation, visual inspection, portable appliance testing and
interpretation of results. Test frequency, electrical risk assessment
and maintenance of P.A.T..
Unit 4 - Record keeping
& documentation
Record keeping and documentation covers clause 65 of the OHS regulation,
tagging requirements, maintenance of inspection, testing and electrical
risk assessment records and maintenance of
log books.
